The Lust

I lust for you,
and there is a bang.
It is louder when you are younger,
crashing into walls.
The thud from the fall.
It burns from the yearning.
Whipped lashed,
thrown through the car windscreen.
How can you ever come back
from slamming into brick walls?
The hero is breathless.
He is caught in the throes.
Fast forward so you can forget it all.
The reverberation pushes you forwards.
It compresses the air in front of you,
folding space and time,
a place to rest…
