So many out there,
so many are beautiful,
I saw your smile and fell in love,
your humanity glowing bright
like the first light captured by the night.
Your body conveyed a mesmerising fragility, but from your story, I know you are strong. You have traverse, a journey that would have felled many.
I saw the smile radiate from you.
Upon receiving a simple gift, you glowed.
Life is so precious, how can another contemplate hate, and hurting you.
We are all deserving of love and empathy.
In a sparse room, you sat looking up at white walls and ceilings.
The place you used to know as a home is now so far away.
Chased away, running to save your life, to keep this beautiful light shining bright.
Why do we hate for religion and
poison our souls with political beliefs?
Why can’t we comprehend that
this atmosphere is so tenacious,
Yet, we abuse to consume.
Why can’t we see the beauty in a smile, the guiding light,
like the sun shining bright.
Look up at the night sky,
and marvel at our existence. Isn’t it thus all the miracle we need.
We were not put on this earth to pay penance.
If God is love: he should love all.
No matter what shade or creed.
Stop believing in the temples of mammon
as the nirvana to salvation: the light that blinds us to the beauty residing inside.
Smile, even for just a little while,
radiate joy and shine.
Be as beautiful as the night sky.
