I wander through the Compostela.
Beauty radiates from both inside and out
I raise my head, and my heart fills with joy
Near and far
The Milky Way stretches across the heavens into the distant horizon
Cutting a swathe through the sky
It is there I roam,
Immersed within, I honour the gods and angels above
For it is here Love resides
It is thus my guiding light
All the stars in the heavens tonight delight
Shining brightly
They create a canvas of joy, happiness, and bliss
They illuminate a path, one that I must follow
There are too many to focus my sight on just one
For here, with my heart on fire, I envelop my soul in fields of dreams;
There are no ups or downs, no right or wrong; I follow wherever my heart leads.
It is there that I furrow my dreams.
Here, they are written in the stars.
Sometimes, I encounter an enchanting word that inspires me to write. I watched a program on French Art on BBC4 this evening where the narrator mentioned the words (Compostela). I felt compelled to creatively utilise this word, whether by expressing the emotions it embodies or its abstract and metaphorical meanings. This process contextualises the word and gives me an understanding of its significance. Oh, the power and beauty of words to inspire creativity and foster understanding!
