The Black Adonis

Did I see you?
In black — shining like a black diamond in the midday sun,
Frame — slender and toned, you cast a distinct figure, one of beauty personified.

The Copra so sweet ripened in the searing heat of the tropical sun. The oil seeps from the hardened and now translucent kernels — busting and saturated, with the promise of an intense flavour — one for the senses to savour. The mouth salivates in contemplation.

The light shined off your skin, reflected from the anointed oil oozing from your pores. Portent — the skin dazzles like a myriad of lights shines. It reflects the sunlight. Fluid, the emotions flowed, and desire came crashing at my door. I tried to resist, but the lore was too strong and had me crashing.

Oblivious, the black Adonis stood proud. Effortless was his prowess — valiant and tall. My inhibition fell. He stood skin pigment as dark as the tar on which he stood. Caught in the midday sun, he shone.
It was only a glimpse, but my heart cried.
Cast off on dreams; paradise shone in my eyes.

The Hunger

There is no more intense a passion imbued than the hunger for the meat cured in the sun.
Ripened in the midday heat, the taste concentrated and intense, jamón, jamón.
