Ironically, here in the United Kingdom, one would assume that you will be able to find good teahouses or shops selling good quality tea. Unfortunately, all we have here are dated and archaic Whittard teashops, catering mainly for unsuspecting tourists. Strangely, I have encountered the best cosmopolitan tea shop in New York, Argo Teas. My favourite brew is Organic Red Lantern Herbal tea, which I regularly order from the Reaching Out teahouse in Hoi Han. I have fond memories of visiting Argo Tea and Reaching Out. On that visit to New York, I was so fond of the teas that I bought some jars to take home. I remember the Airport Staff looking through my Hand Luggage and laughing; she jokingly stated, you live in London and are buying tea in New York to take to London? London is full of Starbucks, Cafe Neroes, Press, all catering primarily for coffee drinkers. The good teahouses are mainly reserved for the toffs, and from my experiences are not very welcoming.
