When narcissism and vengeance collide, all hopes and dreams shatter — the world fractures. We find ourselves retreating into darkness, overwhelmed by fear. Our voices fade into silence; we lose all resilience, paralysed by the anxiety of losing everything we once held dear.

The reality we believed in crumbles, and the painful truth becomes unbearable — we were deceived. So, we withdraw, cocooning ourselves within the primitive depths of our emotions.

Fear dwells here, the hidden refuge where we bury our true selves. We seize and freeze back to the reptilian state, wishing that time might stop and hoping they would not come after us. It is the great retreat; history is on repeat.

How often do we wonder how we ended up here? The truth is that we fell for the illusions that surrounded us. We all share the blame, each playing a part in this intricate game. We chased after fame and wealth, turning them into our idols, while the real us remained hidden in the shadows.

No, we did not want to know, so we created monsters and worshipped them as Gods. We played lotteries with our lives, believing that this is where true salvation resides. So we bought and sold their lies; others’ lives did not matter.

Come, all you angels, come and save us from ourselves. We had become so enlightened that we believed we could shield ourselves from our primitive selves. And so a monster arises, our true selves revealed to ourselves. All the time, the brute was staring at itself. It is a mirror projection of itself.

Now, our souls have been bought and sold, they swallow us whole. Google it.
