I would profoundly disagree with this statement. My personal experience is precisely the opposite. The idea of equality to some equates to conformity with the norm. For example, being LGBTQ does not naturally make you more compassionate or empathic. Some prominent LGBTQ individuals in this society fill me with disappear, one being the head of the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom. It is a stereotype (currency) that some like to play on. LGBTQ are kinder; they are friendlier and more caring. The same can be said of other groups that are discriminated against. These are the old cliched stereotypes associated with some LGBTQ. Human being are foremost what they are, good and bad.
