The world was not responsible for decimating your industries — the revisionist history.
You always paint the past in golden hues while discharging raw sewage into the water.
Alas, notions of superiority were responsible for your decline.
On silver sails, you sailed and conquered all — bringing unto them your ‘civilisation”.
Time would not wait whilst you indulged your ego, basking in past glorious days — the indelible stain on your history.
The world was and is not looking at you; it is not seeking salvation from you.
You believe yourselves to be the greatest nation on the earth, but glorious is the voice refrained.
You left the garden unattended, and so others walked in.
You wish to trade but only on your terms.
You want to dictate the rules that others live by.
You seek free trade from exploiting the disadvantaged; you see yourselves above all others (F**K the Americans*, F**k the European Union.
You wish to maintain your privileges. But, alas, the world is not looking for guidance from you.
They need no English imperialist or socialist crusade: values emanating from bygone ages.
These days you are all on the stage, stooges and hostages to the past.
To the illusions of grandeur, you have all surrendered.
