Another World Awaits Us?

Why would he/it/her/they present you with something so wonderful
And seek that you destroy it?
You search the skies but cannot find another; even if you were successful in the quest, I deem that ours would still be unique.

For another to collide with it to embed an iron core in its heart,
a core that creates a dynamo that protects us from the sun’s harmful rays, thus allowing life to flourish.
We get the essentials but avoid the toxic.

A world with a moon the correct size to protect us from the debris falling from the sky, Jupiter to act as our guardian from afar.
Still, you wish for another heaven; you are not satisfied with this brief sublime life you have been given, and so you seek immortality, which, alas, is the tragedy.

Why can we not accept the wonder that we have been presented with,
The atmosphere is a few miles high, though you act like it goes on forever.
You belch out pollutants into the sky and think not of the consequences.
You believe another world awaits you, so you treat this one with contempt.

For an asteroid to collide with it to create plates that float on a sea of magma,
For it to be the…
