An interesting article, I am not a professional psychologist. I am trying my best to know myself. Suppose one lives in a ‘perfect’ environment, where an individual traumatic experience is a one-off event. Maybe in a nurturing and supportive environment, one can recover from the trauma. I would dearly love to leave my past traumatic experiences behind me. However, what is one to do if they find themself in a perpetual trauma-inducing environment. I am not sure how an individual should ignore the said environment?
