A thoughtful and insightful piece of writing, it got me to think about the idea of space, our notions of space. It is funny, but I seldom directly think of the ‘space’ I occupy, how this space comes into being and the symbiotic interaction between me and the space I occupy. I do not consider the sprawl of space. Is that sprawl defined by my mind and the thoughts that preoccupy? Are my thoughts influenced by the space they inhabit? My thoughts define my reality, and one can say that this material reality occupies a space. Are the borders defined by my immediate environment or wider spheres that impact my thoughts, the world, the universe? The location of my thoughts, the dimensions and the area define the space that I occupy. Time and space are the same. Wherever I posit a space, I do this within the context of time, the past, present or future. I define space within the context of time, here the past, present, and future coalesce. My hobbies and interests, countries, people and horizon all encompass my space. I am still getting my head around the ideas you have introduced here. My thoughts are not yet concrete, and maybe they will never be?
